Standard O-Rings

Our standard O-rings feature a simple donut-shaped design, perfect for basic sealing applications.

Quad Rings (X-Rings)

Quad rings, also known as X-rings, feature a four-lobed design that enhances their sealing ability, providing greater stability and reduced friction in dynamic applications.

Square O-Rings (Flat O-Rings)

For applications that require higher pressure resistance, square O-rings (also known as flat O-rings or washer O-rings) offer enhanced dimensional stability and durability.

Silicon O-Rings

Known for their high oxygen permeability, silicone O-rings are widely used in wastewater aeration systems and applications that demand high-temperature stability.

HNBR O-Rings

HNBR O-rings offer enhanced resistance to extreme temperatures and ozone exposure, making them suitable for automotive, oil & gas, and aerospace industries.

FKM O-Rings

FKM O-rings (also known as Viton® O-rings, FPM O-rings, or fluoroelastomer O-rings) are engineered to resist extreme temperatures, chemicals, and fuels, providing superior sealing performance in high-pressure and high-temperature applications.

An O-ring is a circular rubber or elastomeric seal used to prevent the leakage of fluids (liquids or gases) between two mating surfaces. It has a cross-sectional profile that resembles the letter "O," hence the name "O-ring."

O-rings can be made from various materials, including:

  • Nitrile Rubber (NBR): Common for oil and fuel resistance.
  • Viton (FKM): Known for its heat and chemical resistance.
  • Silicone Rubber: Suitable for high and low-temperature applications.
  • EPDM: Best for weather, ozone, and water resistance.
  • Neoprene: Known for moderate oil resistance and environmental exposure.

O-rings are used to create seals in a wide variety of industries, such as:

  • Automotive (in engines and fluid systems)
  • Aerospace (in engines and fuel systems)
  • Plumbing (in faucets and pipes)
  • Hydraulic systems (in machinery and equipment)
  • Industrial applications (in pumps, valves, and compressors)

O-rings work by fitting into a groove and creating a seal under pressure. When compressed between two surfaces, the O-ring deforms slightly to fill the gap, preventing fluid or gas from leaking.

Several factors can affect an O-ring's performance, including:

  • Material: The O-ring material must be compatible with the fluid or gas it is sealing.
  • Temperature: Extreme temperatures (both high and low) can cause O-rings to degrade or lose elasticity.
  • Pressure: High pressure can compress the O-ring too much, while low pressure can lead to leakage.
  • Surface finish: Rough surfaces on the mating parts can damage the O-ring or compromise the seal.
  • Chemical compatibility: Some chemicals can degrade O-ring materials, so chemical compatibility is important.

O-rings are available in various sizes. To determine the correct size, you need to know the following measurements:

  • Inside diameter (ID)
  • Outside diameter (OD)
  • Cross-sectional diameter (thickness)

These measurements ensure the O-ring fits perfectly into its groove.
